Limestone drills like BUTTER. As rock goes limestone is relatively soft and fairly consistent. Only issue would be if there is a lot of silicification and that should be unlikely if the limestone cap was emplaced post intrusion. Almost certainly the case.

So assuming they have the right size of drill on the project for the length of holes they are drilling these holes should go fairly quickly.
