Message: Toss Away Phrase? Toss Away Investors?

On Friday, June 1st, Peter Smith issued a Press Release titled “Fancamp Files NI 43-101 Technical Report on the Mineral Resource Estimates for Its 46.72% Owned Magpie Deposit.” In that Press Release, all about the “NI 43-101 Technical Report,” below the technical footnotes, is the nonchalant and laid-back revelation that FNC will be “proceeding with its plans for an IPO when market conditions improve.”

Take note, we will not be proceeding with the IPO. We will be proceeding with our “plans” for one. In other words, before “market conditions improve,” even our planning for an IPO is on hold.

So, we learn that we will be picking up our “plans” for an IPO at some undetermined time in the future. And we learn about it, in a cavalier and offhand way, below the technical footnotes concerning the official filing of the Magpie NI 43-101. The only explanatory words to be found are in the hackneyed and unimaginative phrase “when market conditions improve.”

So, this is what Peter Smith thinks of shareholders? He thinks he can give shareholders estimated dates, over and over again, about a decisively important corporate initiative; and then make everything disappear with a few lackadaisically-expressed words?

To be continued. I will be discussing how interactions should improve with shareholders and with the investing public. I will enumerate, in detail, numerous other communications deficiencies and failings, way beyond this latest one. I will be posting my concerns on this Message Hub. Later, with the approval of other investors, I will address those same concerns to every single member of Fancamp’s Board of Directors and every single member of Champion’s Board of Directors.
