New players coming to the blog page may not know the story. If I have something of value I will share it. I will not be silenced, and enough is not enough.

It has been creative management of Fancamp that has navigated the difficult last decade for junior venture stocks in Canada. How many companies have disappeared in this atmosphere? How many have diluted beyond recognition?

Dr. Smith recognized what was going on in the market when so many others did not. In a great interview posted by Tony T Jan 07, 2016 Smith says “Historically we raised funds by selling shares and making share placements, but as the prices have come down dilution is unacceptable."

He has been very careful not to dilute the company. His acquisitions have been done for pennies. The 10 million shares to the Sheridan estate to acquire its massive holding at Magpie plus other interests is a great example. Raising money from the sale of shares and assets that cost a fraction for what was paid is another. This is smart business. You can value Fancamp year after year and it gets richer and richer.

I know there are bunch of long time investors in this group who bought Fancamp when the ROF hype was ongoing. If you paid dollars a share for Fancamp back then you are not very happy right now. The thing is, that is not Fancamp’s fault. You paid a hype price which was too much at the time. I hope you all averaged down and bought more at these cheapie prices. Warren Buffet says if you’ve done your homework and love a company and it goes down, buy more because it is an even better buy.

I’ve been reviewing the activity on this blog. The endless bashing of Dr. Smith is ridiculous given the facts and the history. New investors who come to this place see many of you essentially saying what a terrible company this is and are likely to pass on buying. It’s simply not true. Fancamp is a great investment. Again, Fancamp keeps getting richer and richer and there is no way it stays at this price forever. The richer Fancamp gets, the more it will be worth. None of you who publicly bash the company are helping your investments appreciate. You are hurting yourselves by discouraging new buyers.

I’d like to see a more positive tone on this blog. It would be great for someone to do a updated valuation of Fancamp’s assets vs it’s current market cap. It would be great for someone to get a new interview with Dr. Smith talking about all the different projects and plans for the future. There are a number of things we could be doing which help the company and us, but this wining and bashing needs to stop.

As a final note. If you read the interview, you’ll see that Dr. Smith says he believed O’Keefe was going to get Champion for “pennies on the dollar”. He knew what a great deal it was because he is a super dealmaker himself. Look what happened with Champion!!
