I don't think people care about a personal squabble or you telling me what to do with my investment decisions. I am calling it like I see it with Fancamp and it has been tough seeing the potential slowly erode over the years. It has been frustrating which many have attested to. And you think I'm the only one?? We had 10M shares of CIA before they were about to become free trading and that's when we hit our last peak.
Since you asked, Fancamp is the only company that i have EVER made any negative comments about. Am i married to it? Probably. I have been very public about my stance and wish for a management change. It would be refreshing and revitalize the company. Problem is, Peter thinks he is the company and that it is his. It is not. But the board is a joke.
I have done very well with my juniors and have had some ridculous gains lately.
PGM - bought at .55 few years ago
LAB - loaded up at .14 and extremely excited about this one going into the fall
GZZ - loaded up in the .20s eariler this winter (big arbitrage play since it hold 5.4M shares of RZZ)
RZZ - bought at 10 bucks a year or two ago for my RRSP
I have bought and sold Lion one, Champion at a dollar and change and sold in the 2's and a bunch of others that have done well, such as Marlin Gold, now Mako, and Sailfish Royalty. But sold those positins. Of course i have some that have lost but i generally don't trade too often and i'm in for the longterm usually.
I am not trying to boast, but I have credibility when it comes to seeing differnt MGT teams operate. It's hard to believe i've doing this for nearly 15 years which I know is still not a long time but i've been learning a lot and I still love it. Fancamp is by far my longest term investment. I have spoken to Peter in the past numerous times and have been cordial but also critical at times. I hope he has finally brought on some good people who want to see Fancamp's success.
Like I said, I have a core position now that i would have hoped would have and more importantly, should have, performed well but sad to say Peter is inept at a lot of the business and strategy side. If ROF ever opens up, Fancamp may skyrocket so another reason i'm holding.
I hope everyone here, especially the long term holders, are doing well. It's been fishing in a barrel lately.
Best to you all and may our day come.
