Can someone please assist me with my calculations?
I scaled back the idea that we could have a 20km belt of gold. It just seems too out there for me at this point, that said....
I made some quick calculations based on a mineralized zone of 2,000m x 200m x 100m and a grade of 2g/t. Also, I checked a few websites and I found that the density of quartz is about 2.6t/m3. Basically I am assuming that the T1, T2, Ascot and 88 Zones are somewhat connected.
Based on this the tonnage would be looking like:
2000 x 200 x 100 = 40,000,000 m3 x 2.6 t/m3 = 104,000,000 t
At 2g/t we get 208,000,000g or around 6,500,000 oz of gold.
Is this right or did I make a mistake in my assumptions/calculations? These calculations based on a 1,000m depth and a 20,000 length just get ridiculous...
