New Discovery Resulting in a 20KM Mineralized Gold Belt
Yep, best to keep it real because my 'argument' may appear to be sound, but it is certainly not sane.
It's a good exercise though to put into perspective what the hypothesis is that our geologists are trying to disprove - and up to this point have been unable.
The largest gold mine in the world is the Grasberg Mine at approx 98M ounces (source Wiki) so putting us ahead of that does seem to be a tad ridiculous.
Barricks total proven and probable is 139.8M ounces..for the entire company.
Some other sources. My calculation blows the worlds best away by a long shot, so best to keep your perspective, Yukes.

Regardless, if this theory begins to come to light I think it would speak even more highly of the geochem process as a method of sourcing gold. As it turns out, our style of deposit is an ideal situation in which to use this process...but if we find the gold I'd guess that the demand for this process is going to rise substantially.
