assay expectation question

New Discovery Resulting in a 20KM Mineralized Gold Belt
to all, i have to admit i'm at a loss as to what a "reasonable" expectation is for the pending assay results and i'm seeking guidance (once again) from the more knowledgable investors here. please correct any assumptions i make that are false and answer any questions you can to help me understand.
my current assumption is that there seems to be gold everywhere (to one extent or another) but the deposits vary from "quartz vein like" underground deposits to low grade high tonnage "open pit like" deposits.
assay questions:
- from what claim area should assays be coming back first?
- should we be looking at the assay results as representative of 1/2 the probable gr/ton (as shown in surface trenching) or take them at face value?
general mining question: is there such a thing as a "hybrid" mine that combines both aspects of underground/open pit mining such as a "trench mine that processes low grade surface tonnage while following the quartz like vein deposits? basically a long, narrow, deep open pit?
thanks in advance
