Message: musing on mining

Hi everyone,

Wow, Just came back to find that we lost around 30% of our value in a week, and all for a misunderstood NR. ("....the end of my hopes, the end of my dreams..." ha ha, refrain from an old Herman Hermits song.)

Ah, but has it been misunderstood?

Snow White may have 40M tons of Quartz but it begins around 200m underground - it cannot be an open pit mine. So can it be an underground mine? I have no idea, could someone with expert knowledge please comment.

Ti & 2, Road and Ascot are exposed and can be open pit. Anyone have any idea what the approximate cost of production would be? I think the viability of this becoming a tenbagger could well hinge on this. (Quite possibly this has been discussed here but it would be very difficult to find the thread.)

And then, the 100M ton estimates are based on projections down to 1000 m. Is this at this depth mineable too, given that the distribution of gold is non-homogenous within the quartz which is non-homogenous within the diorite/breccia?

brgds - BW
