I find it to be a positive when "bashing" begins to occur on a board. To me, it means that there is something of value in the stock and that someone else wants that value.

Conversely, if everyone has nothing but good things to say about the stock, I start to get worried. It begins to look like someone is trying to "sell me something." Usually, I find that I won't like what they want me to buy.
