I personally take little stock in these after the fact new releases. They assume causality when there is not necesarely any, yes maybe these events pushed prices down but other probbaly helped pushed them up just not as much, and they may ahve had no relations what so ever.

Truth is, all they are doing is seeing if gold/oil/what ever is up or down today and then pulling news events what would seem to logically be the drivers of the event.
