New Discovery Resulting in a 20KM Mineralized Gold Belt
it's sunday, and slow, so i thought i'd pose the question and see what answers/theories we get...
the current thinking seems to be that gold is formed during a supernova and delivered via meteors...i dont buy it..supposedly, gold was delivered to earth 200million years ago by meteors filled with gold and then spread around the earth as the core formed.
if this is the case, why dont meteors today contain gold? i've read in some places that some very rare meteorite's do contain trace gold but i have yet to find an example of this..
as a matter of fact, i'm having trouble finding any evidence of gold (other than the moon who's gold probably came from earth) located anywhere but earth...
if earth is a rare occurence of gold in the universe we may be sorry we sent those satalites and probes with gold sheet/records into deep space... some bad ass alien gold miner may come across voyager and decide to strip mine us...
so what say ye? where did gold come from?
