O.T.- Crude oil at $132....WHY

Consider it from a canadian's perspective.
We have as much oil as anyone on this planet provided one prices it at over 50 dollars a barrel. This is due to the Alberta Tar Sands.
We do not supply the world with oil, just ourselves and part of the US.
So why is my oil ( or gasoline ) being sold to me at so called 'World Oil' prices.
( We could get an argument from a resident of Alberta as to the word My.)
There is no shortage or escalating production to blame.
The reason is that the oil companies in Canada are mostly foreign and it is in their interest to charge the World Price because they can get away with it instead of a local price based on real economics.
Why can Canada not have it's own oil price (environmental reasons aside). Harper said that governments can't control prices - what gall for such b.s. He won't because he represents big business instead of the citizens and the citizens are blinded by propaganda.
Venezuela does - compare their oil and gasoline prices.
I pay the World Price so that the US may have a source not dependent on OPEC and the oil companies, which here are mostly american, fleece the citizens of both countries.
This must be one of the ultimate manipulations of a local market.
