Personally I would prefer for the 700 Billion $ bailout to be rejected in perpetuity and the banks take a fall, taking the dollar with them. That way my gold and silver investments would reach full value quicker and higher.
However:
The Republicans being mainly guilty of letting the 'bad debt' cat out of the bag, instead of acceptimg the quilt and voting for the bail-out because it is the better thing to do now to help the country, have decided to put their own need first before the nation's. And blame Pelosi's speach of telling things as they are for them not to vote for the bill.
Now I hear on CNN that part of the blame is on the president and McCain for not selling it to the public. Two thirds of democrats voted for it and they represent the so called uninformed public also, so why didn't 2/3 of the republicans?
Simple - If you do not accept your mistakes you will make them again and therefore are not fit for making decisions for others.
Plain advice from north of the border.
