COMEX Delivery Deadline Monday

I'm reminded that this Monday, Dec. 29, is the last day to take delivery of gold and silver at the COMEX.

According to the guys at Vaporize COMEX, gold is now 47.9% depleted at the COMEX with silver right behind at 46.3%. Delivery notices Friday were 11,000 oz gold and 415,000 oz silver. That seems like a lot for silver. Wouldn't it be interesting if part of Friday's spike in gold was in anticipation of some squeezing at the COMEX Monday.

The drawdown chart at the Vaporize COMEX site below is as of Friday. With all the speculation the past several weeks of an impending default, I thought it would have a very different look. But maybe in the next month or two.
