Golden Minerals is a junior silver producer with a strong growth profile, listed on both the NYSE Amex and TSX.
It's good to KNOW that Penson is the one "manipulating" ECU.
But, is it REALLY manipulation? Is it REALLY so bad?
1. This is an open market. U can see what goes on at all times.
2. There are NO RULES governing when and why a person can and does place a bid or an offer. Would you want it any other way?
3. Penson sold, according to a previous post, 7000 shares in order to DRIVE down the price. That's about $4700. Where were the buyers?
4. This is the way markets have always been, imho. The market is a war of institutional confidence and knowledge vs fear and innocence of investors who get fleeced.
5. If dumb investors want to sell their shares back to Penson tomorrow for $.68 or $.69, then they DESERVE to be fleeced. If they hold for fair value, then Penson loses its gamble. When enough people hold, then Penson will stop "manipulating".
6. When this market decides that it's time to move ECU, U can bet your life that it will be Penson DRIVING the price higher and higher and higher.
I wonder, will anyone be complaining about the "manipulation" then?
