Barbaorily, could be the aberrant volume was as a result of the Van Eck ETF buy, which was not all done in one or two days, but multiple days, in multiple tranches, with some traders trying to "Pigggyback"and "Front Run" an expected increase in share price due to the GDXJ buying.
