If the people would realize what tptb are doing and realize the extra costs that they will have to "fork out" to make these changes happen, before they happen, maybe they would create a stink big enough to make the politicians take notice.

However, methinks the majority of the people are not hurting enough yet, otherwise things might be different. The newcomers are still much better off, and have better conditions than what they left behind and those that are second, third generation or greater, are too apathetic to speak up and complain. They have become the oppressed without even realizing it.

As for all of this being O.T. , I have to respectfully disagree. We are in this sector for precisely reasons similar to this, don't you agree?
