I know full well the majority of you GNZ investors would prefer to have an internal financing AND development situation for our oil shale reserves. So do I!!!!

However, given the current global economic downturn, this may not be possible to achieve in the next year or two. Who knows how this will eventually end up.

In the meantime, the Saskatchewan government is trying to drum up business in China for the minerals sector. Good for them. We need all the help we can get for a stock that is not currently trading. Ummm...oh yeah, I hope they mention GNZ. Pray that Mr. Dame already promoted us before this overseas trip.

Yes, we would like to have oil shale development leaders Shell Oil or Petrobras (Brazil) seranade us but we should entertain all comers south, east, and west to get the best deal.

SASKATCHEWAN DELEGATION TO PROMOTE PROVINCE’S MINERAL OPPORTUNITIES IN BEIJING

Saskatchewan investment opportunities in mineral exploration and mining will be presented to an international audience next week in Beijing, China.

Legislative Secretary to the Minister of Energy and Resources, Northern Resources and Oil Sands Development Meadow Lake MLA Jeremy Harrison will lead a Saskatchewan delegation to Beijing from November 8-14, including participation in the 2008 China Mining Congress and Expo November 11-13.

China Mining 2008 is one of the world's premier mining shows - last year's show attracted 3000 delegates from 45 countries.

"This mission allows us to showcase the many opportunities for investment in Saskatchewan's mineral sector available to international investors," Energy and Resources Minister Bill Boyd said. "We believe Saskatchewan is one of the most cost-competitive jurisdictions on the planet for mineral exploration and mining activity, and the members of our delegation plan to deliver that message to everyone they speak to."

Mineral exploration spending in Saskatchewan is forecast to hit a record of $360 million in 2008, led primarily by interest in uranium and diamonds. Seven Asian companies have invested in Saskatchewan's mineral sector in the past three years, with advanced negotiations underway with Asian investors on a number of other exploration projects in the province.

In addition to attending the China Mining show, the Saskatchewan delegation will participate with other provinces and territories in the Canada Mineral Forum on November 10. The group will also meet with senior management of Chinese companies who have invested or are considering investing in mineral exploration projects in this province and meet with officials of the China Energy Agency.

"I look forward to many productive discussions on this mission," Harrison said. "Our government wants to continue building relationships that will result in increased Asian investment in our province, creating jobs and economic development opportunities for Saskatchewan people."

Harrison will be joined on the China mission by senior officials from the Ministry of Energy and Resources and Enterprise Saskatchewan. Also taking part are representatives of seven mineral exploration companies operating in Saskatchewan: Titan Uranium, Triex Minerals, Golden Band Resources, Athabasca Potash, Bayswater Uranium, Hathor Exploration and Nu Coal Energy.
