In speaking with Fred Cooper, IR for GXS in Vancouver, I asked about the claim stacking boom around GXS. I asked questions about the timing of drilling on these other properties. He indicated that they others had much work to be done with satisfying all of the entities that needed to give their blessing for a drilling program. GXS has done this work and it took them 1+ year to make pacts with the local native peoples and others to start drilling for diamonds, Well then the "Black Swan" event occured and all of the groudwork for a drilling program has already been completed and is in place.
Also GXS had the advantage of having the time to estblish a land position in the basin where the discovery was made, what great infrastructure they have too, a railroad running across the basin within a few Km of the discovery, how good is that?
To the west (NW, W, SW) are mountainous topography which should complicate the stratigraphy, other small past coal intercepts are deper and thinner, I have to agree with Mr. Cooper that GXS is the best positioned and is well prepared to complete initial drilling quickly.
