Sorry, I’ll be a little more specific. I was wondering if there’s a going rate for 3N-4N raw silicon metal, which is the product of the PUREVAP QRR.
I found some references online on Chinese search engines like Alibaba but the prices are not consistent. Most of the grades of silicon you can find above 2N purity (99.5%) are polysilicon 6N-11N (99.9999% to 99.999999999%) for the solar and electronics industries. Perhaps it’s as you said, that there’s not enough on the market to get a standard price.
The output of the PUREVAP NSiR is the Silicon nanopowders that Bernard has referred to as selling for up to $30,000/kg because of the difficulty in producing it. For sure, that’s going to go down to a more reasonable number with the PUREVAP NSiR process =)
