Third largest primary Gold Producer in North America
As a former ARU shareholder I will say that it's wonderful not to have to deal with the morons in Equador!! We should all thank our lucky stars that Kinross came around and offerred us what they did last summer. The so called inferior bid (and highly critised warrant offer) has proven to be a winfall to ARU shareholders. Perhaps, the ARU board of directors and senior management were smarther than we gave them credit for!!
they weren't smarter, they were corrupt. they sold out after giving themselves millions of options.
and not even tye burt would describe his lowball offer as a "windfall." did you listen to his remarks at the end of his presentation at the denver gold show? he said the only reason kinross was able to acquire aurelian at what he called "a rational price" was because the government of ecuador had shut down exploration activity. it was rational for him, but it was irrational from the viewpoint of aurelian shareholders.
