Lake Shore Gold Announces Management Appointments

TORONTO, ONTARIO, May 30, 2008 (MARKET WIRE via COMTEX News Network) --

Lake Shore Gold Corp. (TSX: LSG) ("Lake Shore Gold" or "the Company") is pleased to announce the appointment of Brian Hagan to the position of Vice-President, Health, Safety & Environment and Kimberley Reckin to the position of Director, Human Resources.

Mr. Hagan brings to Lake Shore Gold over thirty years of experience implementing health, safety and environmental management systems in the North American mining industry. His most recent positions have included serving as the Mine Manager of the McCreedy West Mine for FNX Mining Company Inc. and, prior to that, spending 12 years as Director of Health and Safety for Dynatec Corporation. Mr. Hagan is a long-time member of the Canadian Society of Safety Engineers and a former chairman of the Ontario Mine Contractors Safety Association.

Ms. Reckin joins Lake Shore Gold after having managed the Human Resource services, programs and strategic plans for Aur Resources Inc. She has more than 10 years of generalist HR experience. Ms. Reckin holds the professional designations of Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) and Certified Computing Professional (CCP).
