Lake Shore Gold Increases Ore Reserves 29%42 minutes ago

06:24 AM EDT, 03/12/2015 (MT Newswires) -- Lake Shore Gold (LSG) Thursday reported a 29% increase in total ore reserves to 773,300 ounces from the previous year's estimate of 598,800 ounces, beating the Canadian gold producer's target of replacing reserves mined at Timmins West and Bell Creek in 2014.

Reserves at Timmins West are estimated to have increased 4% to 509,700 ounces, while Bell Creek reserves more than doubled to 263,600 ounces.

For 2015, the firm is aiming to replace reserves mined during the year and grow its overall resource base to drive further reserve expansion.
