I spoke about this issue with my hubby (who has 20+ years in the mining industry) and his take on things is that currently LBE doesn't have enough ore/mine life presently to warrant any sort of a takeover bid.

If memory serves me correctly LBE has in place a 'poison pill' clause in the event that a hostile takeover happens.
