Thank you for your inquiry. As you have correctly stated Whaler has been automatically promoted to Hub Leader of the Liberty Mines Shareholder Community. The reason this is occuring is as a result of this members activities within this Hub. As an incentive towards our members, AGORACOM has setup a system of automatic promotions within Shareholder Communities.

This promotion is achieved as follows:

• A poster must hold the rank of Vice President or President
• Their rating must be at least 3.5
• Has accumulated a considerable amount of activity points within a Hub (typically, it translates to approximately 100 posts on a Hub)

Whaler has contacted us privately requesting to be removed. Our technical team is working on a fix; which will prevent Whaler from attaining Hub Leader Authority on this Hub only. For the interim we will continue to remove his authority manually until our technical team can patch in this "restriction".

Regarding members who are promoted through AGORACOM, we are always looking at ways to reward dilligent and active posters within our Community. Typically we approach members who have not yet attained the rank of President and inquire if they would be interested in becoming a Hub Leader. On some rare occasions, we are contacted by a new member, who is asked to submit their username and or links to other related blogs where they have posted in the recent past.
