John, an interesting description of Mr. Evans job at Arysta Life Science may indicate some of his exposure to the concept of an integrated supply chain as that applies to your observation in your post.

At Arysta Life Science ( 2013-March, 2016)  he was  Recruited by the private equity firm Permira to lead end to end integrated supply chain and operations on a global basis, with a team of over 1500 employees and 18 manufacturing sites on 5 continents.

John, Jonathan Evans understands exactly what an "integrated supply chain" is.. and on a "global basis".  

We are fortunate to have him as CEO, in my opinion.
