"Short Hop" air travel is way expensive for standard jet commercial aviation and also way too expensive for "Long Haul" electric airplanes, or so it seems for the present.  As for the "Short Hop" aviation market it appears that solutions such as "Alice" may populate the "Short Hop" market in the future and make that market become extremely profitable.   See the video:
