Some might be into the autonomous vehicle but what Elon / TSLA are selling on the ground is essentially the California dream: solar panels on the roof, battery in the garage that runs the house electrical and can charge the car. All produced locally. There are now large swaths of the country that are eager to dream that dream as well (i.e. Texas).
