It came to my attention, that recent comment of mine requires a  correction in order to comply with local regulations. The start of the last paragraph should be read as following:

"...The only reasonable conclusion is, that electrification of the light vehicle fleet in the US by no means great idea, however implementation may be more challenging than initially anticipated..."
