being a "devils advocate" (well in this case ICE advocate) is my favorite hobby :-). The lubricants are good point. On the other hand, we do not really know, what are the maintenance costs of an EV, because there are no statistical data yet available  and we do not really know, how long current batteries going to last  and what is the true cost of charging them.  All what can be said by now, that the typicall maintenance costs of Tesla do significantly exceed any optimistic calculations provided by followers of the St. Elon Church and that Tesla accruals for warranty repairs are not sufficient.

I wonder, how the costs will look like for an EV car from some reputable OEM producer.
