I agree with okiedo; you have been on fire today! What I get out of this article is that from the perspective of local residents, it's a "when", not "if" the mine goes ahead. These people aren't fighting the mine, they are working to ensure as much good and as little bad as possible is experienced by the residents. 

Until the last couple of months I admit I had always taken the mine going ahead as a given. That confidence had been shaken with the withdrawal of the Fort McDermitt Paiute and Shoshone Tribe and the two recent lawsuits, especially with all of the concern around Judge Du. What you've dug up and posted today, relating to both the Tribe and local residents, has made me again very confident that our investment is secure, with perhaps a (short) delay.
