I'm not sure what you mean by join. Options are always available to buy/sell with or without a broker. Maybe you mean follow suit? 

Someone knows something or someone like a hedge fund feels they can make money. If you're speaking of buying $25 calls then I guess you're betting the ruling is in LAC favor and plan to keep until expiration? If so you need the stock to reach approx $25.15 +/- to break even at expiration.

I'm curious if you close this hypothetical position prior to expiration will it be filled with this larger entity doing the same?

I only sell options so I'm not familiar with the buy side strategies.

This activity was much greater last month. But yes this volume is high for sure.
