This is very specific to LAC. I have no doubt the water issue is a non-issue. There is a lot of water in the area. It will need to be re-directed (point of diversion) and/or change in use, thereof. water rights are sold every day they are individually held. The locals in the area have brought this issue up for many years out of ignorance. The industrial aspect I think will be a change locals will take issue with for sure but what can the locals really say at the end of the day on BLM land. I think we have witnessed all aspects of resistance. I think the water and industrial concerns will exist in just about all areas and is not something unique to TP. I can say the other parts of the caldera are a bit more difficult to access and higher in elevation. The areas noted on the LAC map that are North and a bit West of the proposed mine site are in the area of the sage grouse breeding lek. I think this area will be very difficult to mine for just this reason. But if you ever get a chance to explore this caldera you will realize just how vast this is. I have bird hunted exactly in these areas many times.
