There are so many exciting opportunities. I have worked with energy consumption / savings in public buildings for many years, and in addition to solar, wind, etc., software solutions are also used to use the energy when it is cheapest and sell surplus energy to others in a symbiosis. I mention this because it is my theory that once the infrastructure is well developed, the large amount of EV available will be able to be used for storage of electricity / equalization of surplus production. There will be plenty of EVs that stand still for a few days or weeks and can then be used for external powerbank, of course against payment or reduction in electricity price. Of course, it is not certain that it will be just this process, but I think a lot will be controlled purely in terms of software. I know it is not so relevant, but love the possibilities in the green transition.
