Message: 10% Bond.

I enjoyed the interesting discussion and good story from you guys.  Nothing wrong to have a bit off-topic (but not really since we are talking about EV). These doldrums days of summer are kind of boring and I appreciate everyone’s optimistic outlook to not let me down.

Yes, inflation will be over one day as painful as it is now. The only worrisome thing remains a war, as HC already mentioned. It is a dangerous path by all sides to talk war and not peace or at least a ceasefire.

Pavel and Bodysurfer both bring good points about the cons and pros of owning EV.

I want to mention  Bertha Benz and her first-ever travel by IC car in July of 1886. She had to overcome significant challenges on her trip and improvements she made on a fly to her husband’s invention. Of cause, it was much easier to travel by horse in those days. So and today, as Li/battery technology advances we will be able to see much more advantages to EV.

Maybe the hybrid is the answer to some as they are waiting for a better battery. One of my family members bought a Chrysler minivan, a hybrid. She loves it.

Van has 30ml radius on a battery which is enough for city travel and then it switches to a powerful 6-cyl. IC engine for longer distances if needed.

Her husband bought Nissan Leaf and also thinks highly about it. 250 ml radius is perfect for his everyday travel.

I will stick to IC Honda  CRV for a while thou since I do a lot of vacation travel. Anyway, I truly enjoyed bodysurfer lighthearted story.

In meantime, LAC SP is testing $20 support again. Agh…

I want to share with you guys  a 10% Bond I come across a few days ago.  We all know how boring  US Savings Bonds are, especially with abysmal 2-3% returns.

As you remember they were popular in the 80s thru the 90s but not these days. Suddenly US Treasury announces new Bond -I which will pay almost 10% interest!!

The Bond interest formula is attached to the inflation rate and it pays now 9.6%!

So, it is not investment advice, I thought it worth mentioning for those who are interested in parking money for a while.

 GL.
