"Ford signed an agreement with Ioneer Ltd., formerly known as Global Geoscience Limited, to acquire lithium from the Australian company’s Rhyolite Ridge project in Nevada.
The deal calls for Ioneer to supply Blue Oval SK, a joint battery venture between Ford and South Korean company SK On, with 7,000 tons of lithium carbonate per year from the Rhyolite Ridge mine in Esmeralda County. The amount represents 34% of the lithium carbonate output of the mine over the five-year binding agreement period covered by the deal."
