One very important problem for potential EV buyers has centered around the fact that occasionally EVs do catch fire and when they do they are very difficult to put out. Using water to put out an EV fire can be an extremely frustrating thing for fire departments and even if they are able to put out the fire using huge amounts of water it is very common for these fires to quickly reignite and quickly become just as extremely hot as they were before the fire was put out in the first place. It can be quite a problem.
The solution may be something very simple that doesn't involve using water at all:

If the answer is just that simple then it may help lower the threshold of prospective EV buyers and result in even a faster adoption of EV transportation. Should that happen, then of course it would also mean that more lithum still was needed to meet the demand of the market. Good news for EV owners and good news for lithium mining companies, eh?
