I completely agree. In some ways this CBA is analogous (though only tangentially) to the way that casinos are viewed by some in California. The SacBee recently described it as providing "a small measure of recompense for a long history of atrocities against the first Americans" in reference to tribal control of gambling and props 26/27. Tribal control of mining is not really as feasible as gambling but they ought to have a beneficial stake in this venture simply by virtue of their location and history. I hope there's more good news--and I'm hoping that will be in terms of economic prosperity--to come over the years.
