Message: Violation

I just removed a message that was inappropriate for this Hub and for any other Agoracom Hub.  I also filed a Violation complaint against the one who posted it.  Please note:  This instance was just another repeat instance where the person posting the note in Violation of the 6 Rules is one who was a "New Member" and whose date of joining Agoracom was today, 26 January 2022.

As I pointed out in a previous post, this type of tactic is one we have seen over and over again on this Hub, whereby a "New Member" has as his or her first post on this Hub an obvious post in contravention to the 6 Rules.  Today's example was one where a commercial site was being promoted that had nothing to do with LAC, lithium mining or lithium products.  It was a post intended for financial advantage to the person posting it.  At the very least it would have been classified as an Off Topic ( Rule 3 ) or Spamming ( Rule 4 ) type situation.

All Hub Leaders here on the LAC Agoracom Hub please note:  You all have the authority to delete a post that has been inappropriately placed on the Discussion Forum, however you only have that ability for a very short time window.  I don't even know, myself, how long that is.  Perhaps it is only a few minutes.  Even though that time to Delete a message is quite short, there is no time limit for any member, Hub Leader of not, to file a Violation complaint with Agoracom.  In this instance I did both.

All Hub Leaders take note:  If you see a post that clearly is in Violation of the 6 Rules then please exercise your ability to Delete it immediately since that ability on any particular post is quite time limited and you may be the only Hub Leader on line during that limited time whereby a Hub leader may take action and perform the deletion.  Any Hub Leader can exercise that option.  Just protect the Hub against these obvious violations.  Be sure to first file a Violation Complaint with Agoracom and then perform the deletion.

Thanks to all of the Hub Leaders here.  We will all work to keep this Hub free from the type of chaos that takes place daily, actually hourly, on other message boards.

In Nevada, a common "Bumper Sticker" reads:  "Keep Tahoe Blue".   If this group of Hub Leaders had a similar Bumper Sticker on our cars it should read:  "Keep Agoracom's LAC Hub Clean"
