David B. Tennant, Director, Chairman of the Board
Mr. Tennant is a senior partner and former co-head of the national business law group at McCarthy Tétrault, LLP, Canada's largest law firm, and is legal counsel from time to time to the Corporation. Mr. Tennant is a former lecturer at Osgoode Hall Law School in Toronto.
Francis P. McGuire, Director, President & Chief Executive Officer
Prior to joining Major Drilling, Francis served as Vice President, Business Development of MITI Information Technology Inc. from 1998 to August 2000, identified by Profit magazine in 1999 as the fastest growing company in Atlantic Canada. Mr. McGuire has also served as Deputy Minister of the Department of Economic Development and Tourism of New Brunswick. Mr. McGuire holds a Masters of Arts in International Studies, Trade and Economics from Johns Hopkins University, a diploma in European Politics from the Institut d'Etudes Politiques in Paris and a Bachelor of Arts from Dalhousie University.
Denis Larocque, Chief Financial Officer
Through the period of geographic expansion for Major Drilling that saw it grow from a privately owned Canadian company to a publicly traded multinational with a presence on 5 continents, Mr. Larocque was involved in the acquisition and branch office setup in countries like Australia, Argentina, Chile, Mongolia and many more. Prior to joining Major Drilling in September 1994, Mr. Larocque worked for an accounting firm affiliated with BDO Dunwoody. Mr. Larocque is a Chartered Accountant and holds a Bachelor of Business Administration, major in Accounting from Laval University.

Michael Jagoe, Executive V.P.
Mr. Jagoe's appointment as Executive V.P. in 2006 brings to Major Drilling over thirty years experience in contracting and associated products worldwide. Prior to joining Major Drilling, Mr. Jagoe served successively as Regional Director of the Americas, Regional Director of Europe, V.P. Products and V.P. Contracting for Boart Longyear Company. He also held the position of Global Coring Director. He holds a M.Sc. Degree in Industrial Engineering and a B.Sc. Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Witwatersrand in South Africa and a diploma in Executive Development from the International Institute for Management Development in Lausanne, Switzerland.

Robert Morgan, V.P. - Business Development and Latin American Operations
Mr. Morgan obtained a Bachelor of Science degree (Geology and Business Administration) from St. Francis Xavier University in 1976 and joined the Company in 1980 as a drilling supervisor from which position he advanced first to regional manager, then to Vice President of Operations, and, most recently, to Vice President, Business Development and Latin American Operations.

Rob Newburn, V.P.- North American and African Operations
Mr. Newburn brings many years of drilling operation management experience to the position of VP, North American and African Operations. He was promoted to this position after a successful stint managing the Townsville, Australia operation of Major Drilling.

Ray Baldry, V.P.- Australian and Asian Operations
Mr. Baldry started in the drilling industry in 1985 as a Driller’s Assistant, progressing to Driller and Field Supervisor, which allowed him to gain a wealth of knowledge in all aspects of drilling techniques. In 1997, Major Drilling Group International acquired a company in Australia where Mr. Baldry held the position of Branch Manager and has since held several management positions within the group. These have included Operations Manager Australia, International Operations Manager (Asia & Africa) and the most recent being General Manager Australia before taking up the position of Vice President Australian and Asian Operations.

James A. Gibson, Vice President of Legal Affairs, General Counsel, and Corporate Secretary
Mr. Gibson joined Major Drilling Group in 1995, having been engaged in the private practice of law for the previous eight years. Mr. Gibson holds a Bachelor of Science from Dalhousie University and a Bachelor of Law from the University of New Brunswick.

David Balser, Vice President, Finance
Mr. Balser obtained his Chartered Accounting designation in 1991. He joined the Major Drilling Group in 2005, after 14 years of experience in public practice, manufacturing and construction industries. Mr. Balser holds a Bachelor of Commerce from Mount Allison University.
Edward Breiner, Director
Mr. Breiner is President and CEO of Schramm, Inc., a manufacturer of mobile tophead rotary drill rigs, located in West Chester, Pennsylvania, USA. He has over 25 years of experience in manufacturing, marketing and sales of drill rigs and construction equipment. Prior to joining Schramm in 2000, Mr. Breiner held several positions with Ingersoll-Rand Company in New Jersey, Texas and Pennsylvania culminating in his role as Vice-President & Branch Manager of Ingersoll Rand Equipment Sales located in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. In addition to his role on the Schramm board, Mr. Breiner serves as a director on the board of the American Ground Water Trust, a non-profit organization which provides public education concerning the hydrologic, economic and environmental significance of ground water. Mr. Breiner holds a Bachelor of Science from Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania and a Masters of Business Administration form the University of Dallas, Texas. Additionally, he is Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) awarded by APICS, the Association of Operations Management.
David A. Fennell, Director
After graduating from the University of North Dakota in 1974, Mr. Fennell combined a career as a professional football player with a career in law. He graduated from the University of Alberta in 1978 and was called to the bar in 1979. He practiced law primarily in the natural resources area until 1984 when he founded exploration company Golden Star Resources Ltd. In 1998, Mr. Fennell left Golden Star to become Chairman and CEO of Cambiex Explorations Ltd, which became Hope Bay Gold Corporation. He held this position until the merger of Hope Bay and Miramar where he continued as Executive Vice-Chairman and Director for the combined entity until 2007. He is currently a director and Chairman of the Board of Reunion Gold Corporation.
Derek Pannell, Director
Mr. Pannell graduated from Imperial College, London, with a BSc (Eng) Hons and is an Associate of the Royal School of Mines. He worked for several years in Peru completing the successful construction and start up of the Antamina Mine, leaving in 2001 to become President and CEO of Noranda and Falconbridge. Since 2006 Mr. Pannell has been a Managing Partner with Brookfield Asset Management, and he currently serves as a director of Teck Cominco, Agrium and Brookfield Infrastructure Partners, as well as Major Drilling. Derek is an engineer, registered in both Quebec and Peru, and is a Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Engineers.

David Hope, Director
Mr. Hope retired in 2001 from Grant Thornton LLP where he was Executive Partner and CEO. He continued as the CEO of Grant Thornton Canada and a director of Grant Thornton International through 2002. He was named vice-chair of the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants in 2002 and began a two-year term as CICA chair in 2004, where he also previously chaired the Corporate Governance and Nominating Committee (2002-2004). He has been active in the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nova Scotia, serving on the governing council (1968-1975) and various committees, and as president (1974-1975). Mr. Hope qualified as a CA in Nova Scotia in 1963 and graduated with an M.B.A. from Harvard University in 1968.
John H. Schiavi, Director
Mr. Schiavi obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Babson College in 1961 and a Masters degree in Business Administration from New York University in 1962. He is President of Schiavi Enterprises, a diversified real estate holding company based in Oxford, Maine. Mr. Schiavi is also a director of Consumers Water Co., an investor owned water utility operating in seven states, and Northeast Bancorp of Maine.
Jo Mark Zurel, Director
Mr. Zurel is a Chartered Accountant and holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Dalhousie University. From 1998 to 2006 Mr. Zurel was Senior Vice-President and Chief Financial Officer of CHC Helicopter Corporation, helping to build it into the largest helicopter company in the world. Mr. Zurel is currently President of Stonebridge Capital and a partner with Wave Venture Partners, both of which focus on providing venture capital to start-up and high-growth companies. He is a director of Fronteer Development Group, as well as a board member of several private companies and charities.
