Dale, the show is "Luck," it was excellent (for horseplayers like you and I), and it was cancelled a couple of months ago as too many horses were killed in filming (they were using ailing thoroughbreds as actors, and three broke down badly). Too bad, it was a great depiction of what goes on at the track - filmed at Santa Anita, where I spent a big part of my life. Had two seasons about of about 25 like you describe, the rest, well...
