Reading your reply to nisha triggered a thought - another possibility is a simultaneous announcement of debt financing and partnership. If I were a partner and the deal I struck w/ Al did not include full partner financing, I would not sign a deal w/ MNKD until they proved they have enough cash to see this through approval and launch. On the other hand, a lender/investor might not be willing to lend the funds without a signed partner due to their perception that MNKD needs a partner to ensure the future revenue stream to repay the loan.

This could explain the delay in announcing either.
