More recently, I see law firms advertising by way of a press release that gets picked up on, for example, Yahoo finance, and so when you go to MNKD, you'll see "Dewey, Cheatham & Howe investigating wrongdoing in connection with issuance of stock" (or whatever is the cause de jour), and I'm sure they don't have a client yet, but are just trolling for one, that's all they need to get the ball rolling.
