I think that if you have material non public information, you cannot trade. It doesn't matter how much time before the information becomes public. I also think (I am not sure if it is law or just common practice) that you cannot trade for something like two trading days after material non public information is made public.

Since the trade was made a month ago, even it something is imminent, it may not have been known then.
