at Comtois
.
Apr. 12, 2011 (Filing Services Canada) -- Maudore Minerals Ltd. (MAO - TSX Venture, M6L - FWB), is very pleased to report the highest drilling intercept ever obtained on the Comtois Property, along with several other new high grade gold assays and more broad near surface intervals from ongoing exploration and definition drilling on the property located north of Val-d'Or, Quebec, Canada.
Exceptional Gold Intercepts
* 1,195.0 g/t gold (34.9 oz/ton) over 0.5m (COM-10-568), from 235.3 to 235.8m depth, included within 398.8 g/t gold over 1.5m (Osborne area; section 2262.5 E).
* 193.5 g/t gold (5.6 oz/ton) over 1.3m (COM-11-601), at a shallow potential open pit depth, from 82.7 to 84.0m deep, included within 134.3 g/t gold over 2.0m (West of Osborne; section 1925 E).
Additional Drill Results greater than 35 g/t gold
* 37.3 g/t gold over 0.9m (COM-10-515), from 316.0 to 316.9m depth, included within 10.5 g/t gold over 3.4m (Bell area, section 1325 E).
* 39.9 g/t gold over 1.0m (COM-11-597A), from 140.0 to 141.0m depth, included within 20.0 g/t gold over 2.0m (Midway area, section 1850 E).
* 35.4 g/t gold over 1.2m (COM-11-594), from 293.1 to 294.3m depth, included within 17.9 g/t gold over 3.9m (West of Osborne, section 1975 E).
* 53.3 g/t gold over 0.8m, 44.2 g/t gold over 0.5m and 39.0 g/t gold over 1.1m (COM-11-599), from 201.9 to 206.2m, included within 21.2 g/t gold over 5.3m (West of Osborne, section 1975 E).
* 38.8 g/t gold over 0.7m (COM-11-601), from 25.5 to 26.2m depth, included within 16.9 g/t gold over 3.0m (West of Osborne, section 1925 E).
CEO Ron Shorr said, "our newest 'best' hole is about twice the grade of our previous best -- we've always characterized Comtois as a high grade gold project. All these results in the holes above traverse almost the entire length of the resource's strike, from Bell on the west to the Osborne to the east. No holes in this release are from Camten (farthest east) which has already yielded high grades, thus giving us high grade gold results all along a two kilometres corridor."
Broad Mineralized Intervals
The following new high grade drilling results may be part of broad mineralized intervals. These results are all located in the zone, West of Osborne, on sections 1925 E and 1975 E.
* 25.3 g/t gold over 10.7m (COM-11-601), from 73.3 to 84.0m depth.
* 6.8 g/t gold over 21.6m (COM-11-599), from 201.9 to 223.5m depth.
* 6.4 g/t gold over 5.1m (COM-11-599), from 242.0 to 247.1m depth.
* 9.3 g/t gold over 9.5m (COM-11-594), from 290.4 to 299.9m depth.
NOTE: Gold grades (g/t Au) are expressed uncut and over core length. In most cases, core length and true width are close to being the same given the dip of the drill hole and the strike and dip of the mineralized zone. Estimated true widths are in the range of 80% of the core length. Values were rounded at 1 decimal point.
Refer to Table 1 for detailed results.
On-going Drilling Program
Four drill rigs are currently active on the Comtois Property -- three rigs are concentrating on the Osbell resource area or within its adjacent potential areas. One of the four drill rigs is exploring the properties considerably west of the Osbell in new areas claimed in the last few years.
Maudore continues to be highly encouraged by ongoing drilling results and intends to continue its aggressive drilling. The Company has also initiated Environmental Baseline studies and is conducting metallurgical testwork on areas of the resource.
Quality Assurance and Quality Control (QA/QC)
Maudore's exploration program is supervised by Alain Carrier, M.Sc., P.Geo., of InnovExplo Inc., a consulting firm based in Val-d'Or (Quebec). Alain Carrier is a Qualified and Independent Person as defined under Regulation 43-101 guidelines. Comtois exploration is conducted under strict QA/QC protocols including mineralized standards, blanks and field duplicates. Half of all sampled core is retained for future reference, and analyses are performed by ALS Chemex laboratories in Val-d'Or (Qc) and Timmins (ON) (fire assay with AA finish and gravimetric finish for results above 3 g/t Au).
Check assays were specifically completed on the 1195.0 g/t Au intercept. The first assay result obtained came at 1245.0 g/t Au (gravimetric finish; and >100 g/t Au for AA finish). Check assays (coarse and pulp duplicates) came back respectively at 1190.0 g/t Au and at 1150.0 g/t Au. The value of 1195.0 g/t Au is the average of the 3 assay results obtained for sample J320999. Results from the QA/QC control samples (blank and Certified Reference Material) did not indicate any failures for this sample batch. Visual check (by geologists) on the remaining half core also confirms the occurrence of visible gold.

About Maudore Minerals Ltd.
Maudore owns 100% of the Comtois Gold Project in Quebec. Infrastructure necessary for mining is excellent with a paved highway in close proximity, accessibility to North America's lowest cost power, and a mining oriented local workforce. Quebec is consistently ranked among the best locations worldwide.
The current Inferred Mineral Resource (August 15, 2010) at Comtois is 8,126,000 tons grading 4.6 g/t Au totalling 1,212,000 Oz Gold, divided into a resource grading 3.2 g/t Au to 150m depth with open pit potential, and an underground resource grading 6.8 g/t Au. The estimate used a capping value of 65 g/t Au. For comparative purposes, the uncut resource is 1,400,000 oz. gold.
Maudore also owns a large land package West of Comtois with volcanogenic gold/massive sulphide (VMS) potential. VMS gold deposits are more common in Quebec than anywhere else in the world. Maudore's total land package, 85,446 hectares (211,000 acres or 330 sq. mi.), is larger than New York City.
