Any of us can only speek for ourselves. I don't class myself as a newbie but when I look at how much I have learned from the credible posters on this and the NOT board, I was more of a newbie than I thought I was (and may still be). I suspect sunlover is much less of a newbie than she thinks she is only because I believe there are many on the boards much less knowledgeble than her. (and I don't think anyone who has followed sunlover's posts would find her stupid). It is all relative. They are new to these boards and probably (like I was) naive to the ways of the pumpers and bashers. I think the truly newbies (to the boards) do believe what they read. Once you start filtering it out you may then have moved out of the category of a newbie.

So what is a newbie? One who is new to investing,  new to the Boards or new to NOT and the McFaulds  plays.
