Fish1031,,,are you saying that if something happens that will affect the sp, good or bad, the company does not have to report it via an NR??? So if MEO hit the elephant they do not have to say so, thus keeping the sp down, buy a gazillion shares then release the news and watch the sp rise???if they have nothing they can sell out before saying a word???Isn't this called insider trading???

every company I have invested in has released news when something significant occurs,,,accounting scandals,,,mergers & acquisitions,,,new products,,,gold/no gold etc

NR's are usually done to provide information to investors so they can make informed decisions whether to invest or not, accumulate or sell,,,not for the benefit of the company which already knows the information,,,

as shareholders we have a right to timely information from the company so that investment decisions can be made based on fact, not on "could have", "may be", etc,,,when I first invested in MEO the investment was based on speculation as they were starting the hunt, well now the hunt has 5 potential "kills" and is no longer speculation,,,we should be told whether they bagged a few gophers, a tiger or an elephant,,,
