Might the NEC America issue just be a disagreement with respect to the number of chips that should be considered infringing? Also, I believe I saw a pr indicating they are building a new plant here is the states. Not knowing which chips are planned to be made there, could be making it difficult to sort out, or whether this new production should be covered by the license.  Which brings up a good question. Do these chip manufacturer licenses cover all future new production from new plants? Perhaps a questions for SHM?
