I’m not sure how to best measure their success rate.

I can tell you that Patriot has obtained cooperation from many top global manufacturers.  Ask any patent attorney,…their track record in the past 18 months is very strong.

I also know that PUBPAT and the Free XYZ people are taking Patriot very seriously as well.

In the words of Eben Moglen, PUBPAT’s Director,  “…hardware that resists the freedom of software is a very dangerous form of counterrevolutionary resistance.” 

Clearly, the elimination of key patents on microprocessors is very important to these folks.
