So PDS is custodian of the patents. Okay, but I still don't think it changes anything in the scenario. If someone bought an exclusive license, they'd have their own people doing what PDS does. As far as someone buying PDS, I doubt the patents would go along unless the patents themselves were assigned to PDS. To my knowledge, they are not. Either way, PDS, as an entity, would likely evaporate.
Another reason I think the exclusive license approach would be more palatable (than a buy out of PTSC and TPL, or the purchase of PDS or the patents) is for ego's sake. Specifically, Chuck Moore's ego. Remember, we went from "Fish Clock" to "MMP" via the agreement between PTSC and TPL. Moore wants his name directly associated with these patents, and it may help the credibility of Telesys (sp). If they did an exclusive license of the MMP, the MMP would retain its name, I believe.
Just thinking out loud about a scenario that would probably never happen. And it'd probably be better if it didn't.
JMHO and muzes.
